What tools are not allowed in LKQ? ›

Buying a used engine can help get you back on the road without spending as much in car repairs. But, if you buy a used engine from a shoddy salvage yard, or purchase a random one from Craigslist, you may end up in a worse situation than before.

The catalytic converters we remove are sold seperately to smelter processors so that they can be properly recycled.

Of course, you can look for private sellers through websites such as Craigslist or go rummaging through junkyards and salvage yards. But unless you are a trained mechanic with experience in automotive recycling, these options probably are not your best option.

LKQ Return Policy: Parts must be in an unaltered, re-sellable condition and in original packaging, with the invoice. Any returns received after 30 days from the invoice date are subject to a 20% handling/restocking fee. No returns will be accepted after 45 days from the invoice date.
